How does private-label brush manufacturing work, step by step?
Private label runs in six steps: you send a reference or drawing, we quote hair, ferrule, handle and packaging, you approve a sample, we produce, then we inspect and ship. Samples normally take 7–10 days; production runs from about 15 days for small quantities.
1. Brief
Send whatever you have: a physical sample, a photo, a drawing, or a link to a product you want matched. The useful details are hair type and length, ferrule diameter and material, handle shape and material, overall length, and the finish you want. If you only have a photo, say so — we will propose a specification and you correct it.
2. Quotation
The quote breaks down hair, ferrule, handle, printing and packaging, so you can see what each change costs. Ask for two versions if you are deciding between hair grades; the difference is usually the largest single line in the price.
3. Sample
A pre-production sample is made to the agreed specification. Standard sample lead time is 7–10 days. Approve it in writing, including the colour reference and the logo artwork, because that approval becomes the production standard.
4. Production and inspection
Production is scheduled against the approved sample. Standard lead time is about 15 days for quantities up to 100 pieces and about 30 days for 101–5,000 pieces; larger runs are scheduled individually. Inspection covers hair shedding, ferrule fit, handle finish and print alignment before packing.
5. Packing and shipping
Brushes are packed to the approved packaging, then cartoned for export. Shipping terms and documents are agreed on the quotation, since the right terms depend on your destination and whether you are importing for the first time.
Common questions
What is the minimum order for a private-label brush?
It depends on the hair, handle and packaging. The minimum order for each product is shown on its product page, and a custom handle or a custom printed box raises it because both need new tooling or a print run.
Can I put my logo on the brush and the box?
Yes. Logos are applied to the handle by pad print, hot-stamp foil, laser or UV print, to the ferrule by laser or pad print, and to the packaging by print or label.
